There are two ways to make changes to your team, either you can do a direct component trade for a component of equal or lesser value eg.

Trade Component
Second Driver: Glock - 10
for
Second Driver: Barrichello - 9

Any money difference from these trades are not saved. This is to prevent the top of the class from pulling further away and the backmarkers becoming irrelevant.

Your second option is to do a team rebuy where you simply select a new team based on these new values with a budget of 50 million.

Have fun, making your new selections, this trading period will end Friday 25th at Midnight server time.

Team rebuy.

Team Name: PEARCE SONY F1 RACING TEAM
Diver#1: Alonso   =11
Diver#2: Webber  =12
Chassis: Mclaren  =16
Engine: Mercedes =11
Total cost           =50

PEARCE SONY F1 RACING TEAM have used a performance clause to end their relationship with Redbull Chassis, while using their engine relationship with Mercedes to gain access to this years Mclaren chassis.
Both divers Alonso and Webber will be kept, as the team belives that their porformance while racing with the old Redbull chassis was amazing.
Team owner Dazza belives that this is a step in the right direction, saying that with a Mercedes Engine and a Mclaren chassis he expects a win to come soon for his team.

TEAM Padackles Racing has had the preverbial broom swept through it, with driver Kimi Raikkonen the only one escaping the axe.

Team backer BlackEmber has told of her disappointment with all parts of her operation, barring the Finn.

"Kimi has been the only one to really produce results worthy of their price, excluding Melbourne of course.  But besides his good results, he's still the best looking driver in the paddock.  And now with Fernando joining our team, I feel we'll be giving HSR (Hunka Spunk Racing) a run for their money in the "pretty" factor."

New team in full:

Driver =#1:  Kimi Raikkonen:  $20
Driver =#1:  Fernando Alonso:  $11
Chassis:  Renault:  $9
Engine:  Toyota:  $10

FNQ engineering has had a fallout with suppliers over freight costs, Qantas and Regional have been very generous but the teams lack of success has seen the generosity less forthcoming.
Nico rosberg couldn't handle the heat in the tropics, and has made an amicable separation.
Nico said "it's not a comfortable place to spend the off season, my hair is no longer appealing to the ladies."
Fisi has been signed 1. because he is cheap and 2. he loves driving an under"dog".
Fisi said "something in Italian that only the cane farmers could understand".
Kimi is happy and had this to say "i love the heat, i can drink more! Racing trailbikes in a gorrila suit is  :fcuk: ing hot".
FNQ has retained the Redbull chassis, as Dietrich loves to go to Cairns as a tax dodge, like alot of other business people.
Ferrari have come to the party in an unprecidented move, supplying FNQ with engines via some dodgy deal, FNQ team principle Chocko was seen with Jean Todd catching marlin off Lizard Island last month.
No-one from Ferrari had anything to say.

Drivers: Kimi & Fisi @ 26Mill.
Chassis: RedBull     @ 12Mill.
Engine:  Ferrari      @ 12Mill.
Total team outlay      $50Mill.
R5 could've been a great car

If all you want to do is change your engine supplier, you must select another engine of equal or lesser value.

That team is actually
Heidfeld - 15m
Rosberg - 13m
BMW - 15m
Mercedes - 11m
Total - 55m

5m over budget.

F1e your changes are approved.

Total Cost: 48

i am not rebuying hiedfeld, rosberg, or bmw. i am dumping toyota motors that cost 9 mill for merc motors that cost 11 mill.

why do i have to rebuy hiedfeld, rosberg, or bmw at the inflated prices when i already have them? have i missed something?

Thats the problem right there. The new engine deal must be equal to or less than $9m.

Jiji the new values are what matters. Other FantasyF1 games let people cash in on inflating prices and then the winners end up with teams like Raikkonen Heidfeld Ferrari and a Toyota Engine after a couple of rounds while people who didn't get off to a good start end up stuck with mediocre teams and just fall further behind.

This way keeps everyone on even ground, it's a compromise I know, but I want to try and give everyone something to play for the whole way through the season rather than getting stuck before even the midway point is reached.

Team Geriatric anounce a mid year deal to take chassis supply from their existing Engine Supplier BMW.
In a joint announcement with Mario Thiessen, the increasingly Geriatric team principal announced that while the team continued to have faith in Sebastian Vettel, his failiure so far this year has allowed the team to negotiate a drop in salary in exchange for granting a promotion to equal No 1 status. The savings have been
invested standardising a complete BMW chassis engine combination.
Sebastian said the drop in salary would be compensated for by the increased chance of a podium.
Felipe wecomed the new engine chasis combination, but would nor comment on the change in his status within the team
The team no consists of
Felipe Massa   17
Seb Vettel       8
BMW Chassis   15
BMW engine     10

Total              50

Hunka Spunk Racing would like to announce that there will be no changes to the driver line up, or engine and chassis components.

Team Principle Louise Courtney, though impressed with her teams efforts in Melbourne has been somewhat quiet in past weeks.

Louise  - Team Princple - "I am proud of my team and their efforts. The crew and drivers have been working around the clock to bring the car up to scratch. Over all I am very happy with the car itself. My only concern is the drivers. Obviously Lewis's incident with Nando cost us dearly, and though Seb's performace has been somewhat well rounded, it's not where I would prefer him be positioned. This is what happens when you hire purely based on how hunky a driver is rather then talent. HSR is in the winning business. So we wil strive to move past these last few weeks, and continue on."

Seb - HSR Driver - "Wow, Lou reckons I'm hunky. Well then, better pull that finger out of the proverbial and win some races  ;) "

So it looks like Team Geriatric is banking the farm on BMW continuing it's fine early season form while Hunka Spunk Racing is content with just looking pretty ;)
