2009 V8 Tipping Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements
 
To take part you must be a registered member of australianmotorsportforums.com.au 
Before the event takes place a thread will be posted in the appropriate forum for the event.

We will accept new entrants up to the deadline of round three (Winton), after the start of round three (Winton) no more new entrants will be accepted under any circumstances.

If you enter the tipping competition in round 2 you will not be awarded any points for the previous round and you will accumulate points from round 2 onwards. If you enter at round 3 you will only accumulate points from round 3 onwards.

You can change your picks as many times as you wish up to the deadline however no posts will be accepted after the deadline under any circumstances.

The deadline for tips will be 22:00 server (EST) time on the Thursday of each V8 weekend for all rounds except Bathurst and Bahrain, these will be 22:00 on the Wedensday before the event.

Races

You must pick one driver to start from pole position. Those who pick correctly will receive 1 bonus point. (You only receive the pole point once for the first pole result of the w/end, regardless of how many times that driver starts from pole on any given weekend)

You must also pick the top 8 point scorers for the overall race weekend. This is calculated from the official V8SA point sheets after all races are completed.  Each of the 8 picks then scores points according to how close that pick was to the actual finishing position.

In the event that 2 or more drivers finish the weekend on the same amount of points, they will be awarded the same amount of tipping points and the next position will miss out. This way there are still only 8 drivers to be awarded points.

Your Pick

EG:
Driver picked to finish 1st. Actual finish 1st. 10 points
Driver picked to finish 3rd. Actual finish 2nd. 6 points

The points scored for each of the 8 picks are added together to give your overall score for that event.

In the event of a tie the player who scored the most points for their 1st place pick will be ranked ahead, if this is equal then the second placed pick will be used until a difference is found. In the event of all 8 picks scoring the same the players will be ranked as equal.

Tips can be changed right up until the specified closing time.
