2009 Fantasy F1 Rules
« on: March 10, 2009, 05:18:17 pm »
Welcome to the 2009 Australian Motorsport Forums Fantasy F1 Championship. Last season we had 20 players fill out the grid with SchueyFan coming out the eventual winner. This season Formula One has new rules and teams but Fantasy F1 will be as simple as ever to join and play throughout the year, with just a few changes thrown in to adjust how things are played.

How to make a team?
Each team is made up of four components; a first and second driver, a chassis, an engine and a tyre compound. Each player starts with a $100 million budget and the components selected must fit within the scope of that budget.

Can I make changes to my team?
Yes, any component may be changed after a "3 race contract." After those 3 races you may continue with that component or trade it for a different component. The values of each component will be adjusted after each race depending on the current performance of a particular team or driver, thus creating an ever changing landscape that will give players the opportunity to improve their team throughout the year.

This season a Chassis will simply score points equal to the points scored by both drivers who drive for that team. So for example if you owned McLaren as your chassis and Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd and Heikki Kovalainen finished 6th, the points your team would score would be 15+10 = 25.

If your chassis retires (is not classified) one if its cars, a 3 point penalty will occur.

TYRE COMPOUND - New Rule
Hard: If both of your drivers finish the race in the top 10, you will be awarded 10 points.
Soft: If both of your drivers qualify in the top 10, you will be awarded 5 points.

Miscellaneous
1. Scoring will be based on the official FIA classification.
2. Any car that fails to qualify or start the race will be deemed to be classified 20th for all scoring purposes.

What does a scanner see? I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does it see into me--into us--clearly or darkly? I hope it does, see clearly, because I can't any longer these days see into myself.
