Welcome to the 2009 Australian Motorsport Forums Fantasy F1 Championship. Last season we had 20 players fill out the grid with SchueyFan coming out the eventual winner. This season Formula One has new rules and teams but Fantasy F1 will be as simple as ever to join and play throughout the year, with just a few changes thrown in to adjust how things are played.
How to make a team?
Each team is made up of four components; a first and second driver, a chassis, an engine and a tyre compound. Each player starts with a $100 million budget and the components selected must fit within the scope of that budget.
Can I make changes to my team?
Yes, any component may be changed after a "3 race contract." After those 3 races you may continue with that component or trade it for a different component. The values of each component will be adjusted after each race depending on the current performance of a particular team or driver, thus creating an ever changing landscape that will give players the opportunity to improve their team throughout the year.
