Capps with the starting line advantage, but then starts to lose traction around 330 feet and pedals it. He is then dropping cylinders through the 1000 feet. Bartone was able to chase him down around half track and then his engine starting eating it self up on the top end. Bartone with his first National event win in Funny Car.

Schumacher with the starting line advantage and never looked back to take his 48th National event win. Schumacher has four wins here in the last five years. It appeared Bernstein's car dropped a cylinder, but still a great weekend for the Budweiser team.
