Top Fuel
Low qualifier- Tony Schumacher  4.513 - 331.69 mph

Final

 Tony Schumacher (U.S. Army Dragster)    0.081      4.499- 329.83mph
 Rod Fuller (Caterpillar Dragster)              0.092      5.259 -223.14mph

Schumacher was out of the gate first and runs low E.t. of the event for the his 45th National event win. That ties Dave Schultz for all time wins list. Fuller lost traction around 330 feet and that was the end of his chances. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.152, 660ft-3.066/276.35mph, 1,000ft-3.833

Funny Car
Low Qualifier  Melanie Troxel  4.752 - 327.27 mph
This is the first time a female has  qualified  number 1 in funny car history

Final

 Tony Pedregon (Q Horsepower Impala)     0.093      4.818 - 319.75mph
 Scott Kalitta (DHL Solara)                      0.108      4.957 = 308.92mph

Pedregon gets out of the gate first and starts to pull away. Kalitta makes a decent pass but loses ground all the way through the run. Pedregon wins his 38th national event.

Pro Stock Car
Low Qualifier - Jeg Coughlin  6.705  205.10 mph

Final

  Kurt Johnson (AC Delco Cobalt)         0.019      6.733 - 205.22,mph
  Jeg Coughlin (Jegs.com Cobalt)         0.029     19.755  - 72.78mph

Johnson with a great light and never looked back to win his 38th National event win. Coughlin with problems as soon as he lets the clutch out.

Pro Stock Motorcycle
Low Qualifier   Chris Rivas  7.027  188.46 mph

Final

 Chris Rivas (Drag Specialties/S&S/G2 Buell)  0.044      7.051 - 185.43mph
 Craig Treble (Team Tigue Suzuki)              0.028      7.134 -  185.38mph

Rivas and Treble are even in previous meetings with four each. Treble gets another hole-shot but Rivas ran him down before they reached the 60-foot mark and drove around him for the win.

Chris Rivas' incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.016), 330 ft(0.006), 660ft(0.040), 1,000ft(0.061). MOV: 0.0677 seconds (approximately 18 feet).

Steve Harker lost in the first round of Top Alcohol Funny Car

 Steve Harker (OMS Graphics Monte Carlo)     0.106      5.786 252.52

Chesterman with a big starting line advantage and never looks back for the win.

For the fifth time in his career, Force is racing an opponent in the first round that he defeated in the final round the prior race. He holds a 23-5 career advantage over Wilkerson, 7-1 in the first round.
Wilkerson gets a little revenge here, getting out of the gate first, then holding off Force to get the hole-shot win.

Tim Wilkerson's incremental margins: 60ft(0.040), 330 ft(0.063), 660ft(0.062), 1,000ft(0.045). MOV: 0.0024 seconds (approximately 13 inches).

Coughlin is 1 - 0 against Jones in prior events and that was a round one meeting. Jones with the starting line advantage, but coughlin has the difference made up by 200 feet. Coughlin with the win by 0.0113 seconds (approximately 3 feet). Coughlin with the quickest pass of round one and will have lane choice over Stanfield in the next round.

Round 3

Line is 12 - 5 against Coughlin in prior events, and holds a 3 - 1 advantage when they race in the semifinals. Line with the starting line advantage, but Line was able to catch him right in the lights. Jeg Coughlin's MOV: 0.0002 seconds (approximately 1 inches).
