Casey,Casey, Casey Why??????????
Valentino dominant but not quite comfprtable.
Nicky seems to be the only bloke other than Casey to ever get comfortable on one of the recent Ducatis.
Great race and spectacular under lights.

This is the first occaision that I can recall when a team mate, or anoyher Ducati rider has finished ahead of Casey.
In making the bike moe "simpatico" to Nickey have the taken away the Casey edge over others?  He was complaining about the front end after his fall in the first round and after his off in practice in Slain.

I watched the whole telecast on 1hd from the 125s, the moto 2 and motogp. Great telecast with very few ads during racing. The 3 guys commentating were having a great time. The swim by Jorge was great. The highlight of the day was the moto 2 race. First the pileup of riders and marshals on the tight right hand turn after 1 guy fell and spilt oil everywhere. Then the battle for 1st place with 5 riders having a crack over the last 5 laps or so. One of the best bike races I've ever seen. I think Craig Baird enjoyed it also, not something you might see in the car racing.

Rossi to be on crutches for six weeks

Saturday, June 5th 2010, 21:00 GMT

Valentino Rossi is expected to be on crutches for at least six weeks in the wake of his leg-breaking crash in practice for the Italian Grand Prix, but the surgeon treating him was satisfied with the outcome of the operation to fix the wound.

The world champion will miss a grand prix due to injury for the first time in his long career this weekend, having suffered an open fracture to his right tibia when he had a violent high side in final practice at Mugello...........

Bad luck Valentino; it sort of put paid to the rest of your season.......

Stoner angry with slower riders

Casey Stoner was angry with the on-track conduct of a number of his MotoGP rivals following qualifying for the Catalan Grand Prix at Barcelona.

He qualified second for the race with a superb late effort, having spent most of the session just inside the top 10.

However, the 2007 world champion believes he could have gone faster had he not been hampered by riders deliberately slowing down on-track in order to drop in behind his Ducati and gain a tow on the long start/finish straight............
Second is better than most Casey..........................

In other news floating around the web Rossi has just signed a two year deal with Ducati. I'd prefer seeing him do that than drive a Ferrari.

I was out of town for the Misano MotoGP of Italy but the Grand Prix of Aragon in Spain is on this weekend already the fur is flying.

It appears that the Stoner lad is unhappy with a few things Rossi had to say:

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/stung-stoner-blasts-rossi/story-e6frf9if-1225924037386

Maybe they have both lost it? :hmm:

They are at a new track this weekend. Lorenzo is still out in front of the pack.....

Motorland Circuit and the Racers are ready for Aragon Grand Prix

From motorsport.com:

Motorland Circuit and the Racers are ready for Aragon Grand Prix

2010-09-15

Everything is set for the start of the Aragon Grand Prix of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship to be held from September 17th to 19th in a new circuit for all drivers, Motorland, which makes Spain the country with the most world tests with four.

This will be the 13th round of the 2010 season and the Spanish motorcycle racer, Jorge Lorenzo, has emerged as the favorite in the sports betting sites to achieve the MotoGP Championship 2010. Lorenzo ranks first in the overall standings with a 63-point advantage over Dani Pedrosa.

The new circuit of Aragon has had the presence of some motorcycle racers these days, as Andrea Dovizioso, Hiroshi Aoyama, and Valentino Rossi have raced there.

For his part, Rossi tested at Motorland in a private practice on Wednesday afternoon to familiarize himself with the circuit, and described it as a fast circuit with some complicated but fun turns.

Dovizioso practiced earlier, driving a Honda, and said he was impressed by the amount of overtaking opportunities.

On the other hand, the CEO of Motorland Aragon, Antonio Gasión, has reported that 44,000 tickets are already sold and said that the circuit has a team of 16 doctors and eight intensive care units (ICU).

Gasión also states that everything is going as planned for the race. "The works are being implemented as planned and smoothly and we are very satisfied, and in total security, we are ready to face the Grand Prix of next September 17th."

In addition, it has been told that medical services of AlcaƱiz and Caspe will be strengthened and that the Aragon Health Service will coordinate the emergencies care outside the circuit.

Finally, the Aragon Circuit replaces the twice-postponed the Hungarian round of MotoGP. It has been cancelled for two consecutive years due to bank troubles.
