Commonsense guidelines that need to be explained to some people,
aka
The Rules
- - No unsolicited spamming. Spamming will result in an instant permanent ban.
- - No pornography. If anyone posts pornographic pictures or links to pornographic websites, they will be on a permanent 'holiday' from these forums. Similarly, links to horrific and graphic accidents will be remove and the poster receiving an enforced 'holiday' from these forums.
So what is pornographic ? pretty much anything you wouldn't want your kid sister or grandma to see.
- - No abusing other members. We all like to debate the issues and sometimes these debates can get very heated, but try to do so without resorting to abusive name calling. If it is reported to the moderators that someone has been abusing other members the matter will be investigated. If it is deemed it a valid complaint the abuser may go on to an enforced 'holiday' from the forums for a variable period of time. The moderators may subject to evidence provided, may deem it a permanent 'holiday'.
The Moderators don't enjoy giving enforced forum 'holidays' to people, but in order to keep this forum enjoyable for everyone, we must ensure that people will not get abused by those that wish to cause unnecessary issues to others.
- - Excessive and unnecessary swearing is not permitted. If you feel the need to use four letter words every time that you post something, you will not successfully get your point of view across, as others will consider you crass and simply an emotional child.
- - No member should indicate or state the results of a race in the THREAD TITLE, as many of us like to visit the forum for other topics, and with our less than ideal broadcast schedules it can and does spoil the enjoyment of our fellow members.
Those that feel the need to spoil race results for others will enjoy an enforced 'holiday' from posting on the forums for such digressions.
- - If you have an issue with the telecast of a motor sport event, then there's a forum here just for you with the "TV Coverage of Motorsport". For the enjoyment of others that just want to discuss the race, please vent your comments on the coverage in a thread there.
- - Please try not to start up new threads all the time, as it's not much fun repeating your same comments on the same issues in multiple threads. This is what reduces the enjoyment for everyone on these forums.
- - To make threads easier to follow, it is always a good idea to only quote the relevent bits of the previous post that you are replying to.
- - Only one user name per member will be allowed, any current member who registers a new user name will have that name automatically deleted along with any posts attached to it. A first offence will get a warning, any after that will result in a Ban on the IP relating to that member.
- - Since people tend to get a little bit 'emotional' about their personal political and/or religious beliefs, it is highly 'recommended' that you avoid bringing up these sorts of topics. Those that seem to enjoy antaganising others with these sorts of discussions might also enjoy an enforced 'holiday' from these forums for undetermined length .
We are all adults and really should be able to regulate ourselves.
Let us all try to make the Australian Motorsport Forums a fun and interesting place for everyone who visits here.
