R15 Indycar from Kentucky (Last w/end)

Sorry i didn't get the chance to post anything up about this one before the event but due to work comitments of late i have not been able too.

Pole for this 1.5mile 200 lap race was taken out by Wheldon with Will in 2nd

The race was quite good with some realy close racing and a few different leaders including Will for 83 laps. The race came down to pits stops as all the top runners (including Will) had to stop for a quick splash of fuel to make it to the finish.
The problem was that while running 3rd (right behind Dario) Will's team asked him to back off and save fuel, so he went to back of the lead pack in 9th. Everybody except Heilo and Carpenter (were on different strat) had to pit for fuel in the last 3 laps and so Power for the second race in a row failed to finnish in the top 3 because of his crew, Will finaly finished in 8th and Ryan was taken out on lap 79.

Anyway he is now only 17 points in front of Dario with Scott Dixon (3rd) and the only other driver able to take out the title for this year with 2 races remaing.

The next race is in Japan at the twin ring on Sept 18th

ah so that's why he backed off, the commentators on indycar.com steam thought it might be handling problems, what a stupid decision, the only good news is that he is now running up their on ovals so if his team can get things together he might just win the title.

Argh, another race ruined for Power. Was a pretty entertainning race, lots of race changing moments. Lets hope he can finally get the monkey off his back in Motegi and win on a oval!
