So after having a sponsor that was to be running for several years pull out after last years event, this sponsor has just recently taken over.

The 2009 Red Devil Energy Drink....

Sounds like a load of (Red) Bull to me.

Seems like it was on a bit of a wing and a prayer that the deal happened..... I wonder where the wings came from?  ;)

Well yes it was a very last minute deal after Coates withdrew their sponsorship before the multi year deal was finished.

They left the organising club on the outer with them having bought a truckload of merchandise with Coates colours and logos all over it, thinking it was a multi year deal.

Red Devil also recently jumped on board with one of the top three off road racing buggy teams for this season. Looks like they are moving in on the off road market

Red Devil are a major Brand worldwide, already sponsoring in Powerboats, WRC and Open Wheelers. They also sponsor Mika Hakkinen in his (part time) rallying.  They are very big in the US, and I think they are the World #3 energy drink now.... they have been around for well over 10 years.
