I'm not really a fan of bike racing and I don't know how the sport works but I have to give Evans the total recognition he deserves.

This guy has come close in the past and now he has realised his dream.

The first Australian and the oldest rider since World War 2 to win the Tour.

It was great to hear the news that he finally got what he was after for so long, and particulary after the general lack of support he was getting the other day when was trying to get help in the chase for the lead.

This win is great news for cycling in Australia, however it going to be bad news for everyday motorists who are going to get caught up with the arrogance from some in the cycling community, in particular the new wannabe Cadel Evans' of the future.
