The admins policy is that mods/admins are only reviewed at the end of the year.
What does a scanner see? I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does it see into me--into us--clearly or darkly? I hope it does, see clearly, because I can't any longer these days see into myself.

Contrary to what you might think, AMF is not a democracy where moderators are elected by some sort of popularity poll, infact all appointments at AMF are of my choosing and mine alone.

All appointments are reviewed by me at the end of the year, not before then.

Any discussions about moderators and appointments at AMF will be from now on be deleted.

Ouch!    I had no idea that there was any animosity on this site.
I am perfectly happy with this forum and am appreciative of the fact I can post whatever comments I like immediately and without apparent moderation. I don't have any suggestions at this stage because I think the people involved are doing an awesome job, the graphics and interface are fine and I like the way one can change their avatatar and other details in a straightforward and easy manner.
Who really cares about space age graphics and other peripheral stuff, surely the strength of opinion, sharing of information and human decency are the essential ingredients.
Hell on wheels, for me, this site has been a wealth of info and entertainment and it doesn't even cost anything, if someone doesn't like the way it is being run.... then don't login and don't post....simple really.
A steering wheel is just something to hold onto while steering the car with the throttle.

How does one edit their profile these days?

Either the "profile" button is in hiding or I'm not looking in the right place

Thanks, but I haven't got that.

All I see is "Home - Contact Us - Oz Racing Wrap - Help - Logout"

Maybe a cookie problem at my end ?

Actually that's not bad idea........ as long as the birthday boy or girl can be identified somehow on their big day.

Further to the discussion of received some negative reaction via PM to the idea. There was some feeling that a single thread would possibly confuse people's big days.

It appears that setting permissions would be impossible rather than be difficult to manage.

Sorry 'bout that..........

Well it wasn't an actual suggestion, just was using it to highlight a point re: "xxxx thread" style topics that have come to dominate the landscape here.
