South Australia hurray!
What does a scanner see? I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does it see into me--into us--clearly or darkly? I hope it does, see clearly, because I can't any longer these days see into myself.

I'd say Sydney's my least favorite. Everything is so run down and the place seems like it's decomposing. It's depressing. Adelaide is my favorite, everything is close by. Melbourne would be my second choice as a place to live. My brother was over there for a few years after he graduated, so I've spent a good amount of time there on extended visits. At first he rented a townhouse in Mentone, then built a unit (forgotten the name of the subhurb, two stops further down from Mentone), I really liked that area.

I used to work 2 or 3 days every week in Sydney and think of it as a place to visit and not to live. I like Adelaide and used to stay with a friends parents in Hahndorf, which is pretty pleasant, and have enjoyed a few hoons past the Eagle on the Hill.  Also been to Collingrove Hillclimb, Mallala, and unfortunately AIR.  Plus a few of the wineries.

Perth is good but not been for a few years, and Qld never been North of Fraser Island and Noosa area. Canberra, well all I can remember is its a bit of a lights out zone during the week unless you want to go to a museum.  Darwin I have never been to and the same with anything in the middle. Bathurst is about the nearest to anything central!

Adelaide was meh. City of churches just doesn't do much for me...lou-cifer(as my family call me).  ;)

Sydney was expensive. Melb is just fantastic. And I love that dreary, all four seasons in a day type weather.

I loved Darwin. The RAAF base was great, and I haven't been over to the westerns side of Australia just yet.

But Qld is by far my favourite. I have lived here all my life, and I don't think I would move.

I quite like the laid back style of Adelaide, and it used to be great at GP time. Queensland, well you can keep Surfers,  but I could cope with Noosa

At the end of the day I quite enjoy Melbourne but hate winter.  Im not good with the cold weather.

Byron Bay has always appealed to me as a place to live for some reason...

i lived in byron many years ago, around 99, but since going back there to visit i wouldn't live there again but i would live near there, probably a bit further north....

i lived in sydney for ten years and i must say i am glad to have left last year...it is going backwards very fast...its congested, bad public transport, bad pollution, just bad vision and foresight from the labour gov's...actualy i think NSW as a whole is going downhill rapidly. the pollies don't seem to care about anywhere outside sydney...did i mention i want to move to Qld?
