Hi guys, looks like a found a place that I can chat about motorsport stuff & will actually get a reply  :laugh2: (tried some other places, but no activity)
Found AMF through google (where else) & had a quick look around.

Here is what I follow....

The V8's, although I am not a gear head, but do love any V8 race car (except when Paul Morris was driving) with a Lion on the front. Favourite driver is probably Murph or GT.

MotoGP is probably my favourite sport, love the battles on those speed machines. Used to be a huge VR fan, but since Stoner has been on the scene, he is #1 now, literally, lol. Looking forward to seeing him dominate again this year with the move to the 1000cc.
(I also have a ZX6)

I love SBK too, although it's not quite so exciting as it used to be when #21 was racing, but still Carlos was great last year, anyone that puts Max Biaggi in his place can't be that bad. :wOOt:

I also am into the WRC, big Petter fan & can't wait to see him win another rally this year now that he is in a works machine again.

I also like to watch Webber in the F1, hope he has a little more luck this year than in the past few.

I also like Chris Vermeulen & Ant West, even though I'm not sure where any of them will be racing this year.

I used to go to as many of the local rounds as I could until the costs of my family got too much (a wife & 4 kids will tend to do that, lol). These days I normally only get down to Phillip Island for the V8's & MotoGP.

New and found the forums by searching.

The captcha verification is very annoying and hard to read.  Sometimes when I post I get asked to try again the captcha but my post is deleted and I have to either type of give up!

Welcome aboard, and sorry about the captcha.

It's been set very high because of the very high number of spammers that try to infect these forums. It won't be a problem after you make a few more posts, as captcha is then not used for further posts.

I still have the track (2.4 by 4 something m) downstairs, and having been crook I've impinged on our earnings somewhat (Wife's had to take time off.) The smallest boy is five now, he's got a Carrera 1/43rd "Cars" set up in the lounge room so we've got 2 tracks up at the moment.. I have a 35 metre monster on the drawing board for the racing room next though!

That'll be one wicked track at 35m long. I used to run model railways and also used to have a Aurora AFX slot car set as a kid many years ago, but liked the Scalectrix ones, probably because all the big layouts you got to see used that gauge tracks. Of course these days instead of the old analog controllers, particulary with model railways, they've gone to digital controls.

Sorry to hear that you've been a bit crook of late, but it is good to see a bit of yourself is rubbing off on your boy with him interested in your slot cars as much as he appears to be.
