Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson has been rocked by claims he had an affair while in Australia last month.

It has been alleged he had a relationship with a blonde co-worker while taking the popular BBC show around Australia on tour.

Clarkson shrugged off the claims, saying: "I'm surprised to find that I'm the new Tiger Woods."

According to The Sun newspaper, the 50-year-old had been seen a number of times with the woman while on tour, reportedly sharing a villa together on a luxurious visit to Hamilton Island.

The pair were also reported to have spent time together at the Palazzo Versace hotel in Surfer's Paradise.

The Clarksons are refusing to let the controversy affect their holiday in the Caribbean, with Clarkson saying he spent a "lovely lunch" with his wife Frances and their kids.

A friend of Clarkson said he had been "stunned by these claims".

"He's been working hard on Top Gear for a while and is enjoying a holiday with his family.

"As far as we're concerned life is going on as usual."

Clarkson married his wife and manager 18 years ago, and has three children aged 12, 15 and 16.

I Think this is not a true story but just yet another war between Channel 7 and Channel Nine,

I Do understand that this story have been posted on other news sites in Europe.

But I wonder if Channel 7 started all this... Mmmm?

I have to admit that thought came to mind, where it was done with a channel 7 affiliate news site.

I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere else in Australia at this point of time.

I think it proves what many of us said, and that was that it looked like a media beat up from Ch7's yahoo site against a Ch9 show.
