CAMS Politics
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:20:14 pm »
It would appear that the Liberal party is not the only organisation in turmoil.
A number of Victorian Clubs called a meeting with CAMS President Papadopolous and CEO Graham Fountain last night to discuss governance, financial management and other problems.
The calling of the meeting was reported in RallySport.
My understanding is that around 50 Victorian affilliated clubs voted through their delegates to call for a spill of all Board positions, a review by the Sports Commission of the running and governance of CAMS and a chec on whether Board activities and rulings were constitutional.
This seems to have been brewing for a couple of years, particularly in the rally comunity and at club motorsport level.
Anyone involved in a CAMS affiliated club care to comment about what is oing on?
Appears Mr Papadopolous recent trip to Paris to vote for Jean Todt may be his last.

Been hearing some comments from some senior track officials around the place that CAMS have tried to run things just to make money out of things and not as an effective and proper way to run things.
