Formula ford gearbox

Hey guys im just wondering what the gearboxes are like in ff's. are they a four speed h pattern or are they different, really need to know.

Gearbox
Almost exclusively Formula Ford cars use a 4 speed Hewland racing gearbox transaxle. Classic Formula fords use primarily the MK 8 & 9 boxes. These have no limited slip differentials but all the gear ratios are interchangeable, for different circuits around the country. Typically to race at all the circuits in the UK you would require up to 20 different ratios.

I think you'll find from the specs. that FF is using a sequential box but I'm not a tech expert.
