Glenn Seton was trying to hang onto his Nissan Skyline while the rest of the filed were trying to just stay on track!.
I hope you enjoy this memorable great bathurst clip :)

Some Ford Sierras did not make it through the rain but Dick Johnson And John Bowe Managed to. Here is yet another classic Top 10 Shootout from Bathurst. For the first time in the top 10 shootout a privateer car makes it into the top 10. This is a great top 10 shootout with some great times. I hope you enjoy this great clip :) (Also i have put this clip into 4.3 Ratio) Hope you enjoy!

Re: Bathurst 1996 Safety Car Communication Problems
« Reply #13 on: December 16, 2009, 08:50:42 am »
Towards the end of the race the Safety Car Officials muck up the racing field as they don't no who needs to be on the lead up or not. As the Safety comes out Lowndes makes a pit stop yet the cars were not waved by. Larry Perkins and the Castrol Racing crew were not happy one bit. And the Coke-Cola Racing Team were trying to fight the officials about the rule. Hope you enjoy :) (Once again in 4.3 Ratio)

Yep, the officials actually got it right. If the pace car is unable to pick up the leader it picks up the very next car encountered - regardless of their position in the race. Not much Gardner could do about it, Neil Crompton tried to block Lowndes from lapping him and only needed 3 more corners to do it but the HRT car was too fast.

For some reason i could not Quote on your comment there but yeah

Nothing much the Coke car could do about but i thought the Officials had it wrong there lol. Seemed like it was there mistake and not the teams.

I guess the best way to look at it is if the pace car comes out to pick up the leader what happens if that car pits or crashes, breaks down etc? They could wait until the car placed in second outright catches up but until then the track would be technically unsafe for that much longer so the next logical step would be to grab the next car in the queue.

Not sure if that happens today though...

Larry was lucky enough to get away before the next pace car session happened and Neil wasn't. Bit of a shame Ingall beached Larry's car earlier in the day because that thing (with it's original undertray length) was quick when it needed to be.

Iknow this is not apart of Bathurst in anyway but i had no where else to put this video,

Now this video is in 4.3 Aspect Ratio so if you would like to view full 4.3 Aspect Ratio just double click on the video and it will go to the Youtube URL of the video  :)

This was a classic Intro done by Channel 7. Some of the Australian Touring Car Championship Drivers of the 1986 Series took part in this race. The Spa 24hr race is hard and challenging for any driver. But with some Aussies in the filed some drivers talk about the race ahead. I hope you enjoy this classic Introduction to the race :)

So from Rovers to Australia's Holden Commodores how will the Australian's go in the biggest race of Europe? I hope you enjoy :)
