Bring back the Biff
A FIRED-UP Russell Ingall fronted Supercars supremo Tony Cochrane and called for stringent V8 racing rules and penalties to be relaxed in the wake of a drama-charged round in Abu Dhabi.
With the V8 war set to resume on March 17, the outspoken veteran slammed Supercars racing as "boring" and "sterile", with drivers reluctant to pass other cars in fear of copping a fine or being deducted points.
The two-time Bathurst champion said the category needs to return to "bare-knuckle" racing, where drivers can take matters into their own hands without fear of penalty.
"They are always looking at ways to make the category more exciting," Ingall said.
"They are changing fuel strategies and tyres, but why don't they just let us race?
"I have spoken about this to Tony on numerous occasions and I fronted him after Abu Dhabi.
"They try all these artificial things, but all they have to do is let us use our bare knuckles and fight."
The 27-time race winner has called for a single body to replace a convoluted race review committee, which includes representatives from V8 Supercars, CAMS and the FIA.

Yeah, it's getting a bit too much settled by people not driving the cars.
Even Ingall says that they're doing a lot of "artificial things" with the racing, but why not simply race ?

You're not wrong there.
They still use that clip from time to time to promote the v8's.
